There are alot of piano lesson "gimmicks" these days, whether learning with a TV instructor and a cardboard keyboard or taking online lessons on the internet. Easy enough, I suppose, but the results are almost always disappointing. The truth is - learning to really play piano is not a quick or simple process. Like any artistic endeavor (or excellence in sports for that matter), achieving piano proficiency requires a commitment of time and effort, a level of discipline, and, above all, patience. The results will bring you or your child a lifetime of enjoyment and satisfaction. Nothing can replace the time-honored European classical tradition of private piano instruction, with its emphasis on note reading, essential music theory, articulation and fingering, and development of tone, technique and phrasing. A music education rooted in the European classical tradition is a firm foundation for learning all genres of music, as well as expanding you or your child's creativity and imagination. >> Piano Lessons for Children - Why Music Education Is So Important |
